Circumstances:
Crew was performing a postal flight to Itaituba when he encountered technical problems enroute (engine?). Pilot elected to make an emergency landing on highway Santarém - Cuiabá. Shortly after landing, crew veered off runway to the right to avoid collision with vehicles. Aircraft went through a wooded area and came to rest. While both pilots were uninjured, aircraft was damaged beyond repair.

Technical failure.
